General Information

The Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium not only has some of the finest meeting facilities available, but also offers the world-class services needed to ensure the success of each event. Whether the event is a national convention or an intimate gathering, we work diligently to meet and exceed your needs for everything from audio-visual to the perfect dessert.

Pre-Qualified Security

The Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium (“ICCLOS”) requires that a convention security firm, pre-qualified by the ICCLOS, shall be contracted to provide all event security.  Should a client wish to use a security firm that is NOT on the included list of pre-qualified convention security firms, a representative of the security firm, fully empowered to execute agreements, must contact us at least ninety (90) days prior to the event’s first scheduled move-in date to complete all the prerequisites of pre-qualification.  Additionally, a representative of the security firm shall contact the client’s assigned event coordinator at least sixty (60) days prior to the event’s first scheduled move-in date.  Please note, a security firm must meet all requirements thirty (30) days prior to the event’s first scheduled move-in date or they will not be permitted to provide any services.

Security of our guests is one of our main concerns.  Dispatchers and staff guards provide building security, round-the-clock.  General security of the convention center is provided by ESG Security, Inc.   With a few exceptions which are noted below, you may select a pre-qualified security firm for convention center event security.  Contemporary Services Corporation is the “exclusive” security provider for Lucas Oil Stadium.

Numerous guard positions are required for certain types of events.  For liability and contractual reasons, our exclusive security providers shall fill these positions.  These positions shall be scheduled directly through your event coordinator.

The required positions are as follows:

CONVENTION CENTER EVENTS: All events held within the ICC shall be required to have ESG personnel for the following positions:

• Elevator Operators: Some events may require the use of a freight elevator to move equipment or exhibits to the second floor of the building.  An ESG elevator operator is required for any move-in/move-out that requires the use of a freight elevator (4-hour minimum requirement applies).
• Tarmac/Traffic Supervisor:  For exhibit hall events, a tarmac/traffic supervisor is required for ALL move-in and move-out days (4-hour minimum requirement applies).  The tarmac is the concrete apron located behind the exhibit hall docks.  The tarmac/traffic supervisor is responsible for handling all traffic in this area in order to alleviate congestion for the moving-in or out of a tradeshow or similar event.
  
  The tarmac/traffic supervisor shall primarily be responsible for overseeing the orderly flow of traffic on the tarmac and keeping the tarmac clear of parked vehicles and/or unauthorized vehicles, in addition to preventing vehicles from blocking access to loading dock ramps. The tarmac/traffic supervisor shall also be responsible for supervising the door operators.  When appropriate, the tarmac/traffic supervisor shall coordinate with the Marshalling Yard exit guards regarding loading dock availability and space on the tarmac.
  
  NOTE:  Show management should schedule and budget for all the expenses associated with a tarmac/traffic supervisor for all move-in and move-out hours.  If, however, there is more than one tradeshow moving-in or out of the exhibit halls within the same time period, the ICCLOS shall make every effort to split the billing for the tarmac/traffic supervisor. The hours shall be divided equally among the events in the exhibit halls.
• Dock Guards: Dock guards are required during move-in and move-out hours and applies to both decorator and exhibitor move-in and move-out.  Clients must select from the pre-qualified security list and should include the costs in their budget. (4 hour minimum applies.)

LUCAS OIL STADIUM EVENTS: Contemporary Security Services (CSC) is the exclusive security provider of all public-assembly events in Lucas Oil Stadium, as well as all non-public events utilizing space only in Lucas Oil Stadium.

Events primarily utilizing the Indiana Convention Center, but may have ancillary events in Lucas Oil Stadium, have the option to use one of the pre-qualified security providers listed below, as long as the event in Lucas Oil Stadium is not of a public-assembly nature.

Armed Security Officers

For liability and contractual reasons, the ICCLOS retains the exclusive right to schedule armed security personnel through Protection Plus, Inc. (4-hour minimum requirement applies).  If your show has armed security needs, please schedule directly through your event coordinator.

All other security positions may be filled by a pre-qualified convention security firm of show management’s choice from the list of firms provided by the ICCLOS.   Please consult your event coordinator with any questions regarding the ICCLOS’s security policies.

The ICCLOS reserves the right to change or modify these policies as necessary in the interest of safety, security and the orderly operation of our facilities.

All of our security providers are able to offer a wide range of services to our clients including badge checkers, overnight security, roaming security, VIP escort services, ushers, and dock guards.

Other security positions may be filled by the following pre-qualified convention security firm of show management's choice. See your Event Coordinator for details.
